Rudolf Rüger

Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Rüger studied electrical engineering at the Technical University Munich and after receiving his doctorate joined the research group of Prof. Seiz and Prof. Scheuering. In 1961 he qualified as a Patent Attorney.

Since joining the firm, Rudolf Rüger has gained four decades of Intellectual Property experience. He has been active in some of the most complex patent litigation in Germany and represented many cases before the German Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof). His international work includes cross-border litigation involving cases in Japan, Great Britain, the US and France.

He is fluent in English and French.

Thomas Abel

Dr.-Ing. Thomas Abel studied electrical engineering at the Institute of Technology Ilmenau. He received his doctorate in 1989 and in 1993 qualified as a Patent Attorney. His speciality is to assist leading domestic and international corporations in securing highly complex and often groundbreaking technologies. Over the years, he has gained outstanding experience in patent enforcement and is regularly involved in high level cross-border patent litigation.

His technology focus is on mechanical and electrical engineering and information technology.

He is fluent in English.

Adam Jakubczyk

Adam Jakubczyk studied electrical engineering at the Universities of Erlangen and Glasgow (Scotland). Before joining Rüger | Abel, he worked for three years with a young telecom start-up overseeing the development of multimedia and telecommunication systems for Siemens and Deutsche Telekom AG.

At Rüger | Abel he deals with the full range of Intellectual Property rights with an emphasis on automotive, medical technology and image processing systems.

He speaks English, French and Polish.

Jan Klink

Jan Klink studied law at the Universities of Tübingen and Konstanz and received his master degree at the University of London. He is admitted to bar as Attorney in Germany and as Solicitor of England and Wales. Before joining Rüger | Abel, he worked five years in one of the top 100 law firms in the UK, in the US and with a highly recognized Intellectual Property law firm in Germany.

Jan Klink specializes in trademark, design, IT and law. He handles portfolios of some of the leading companies in cosmetics and fashion.

He speaks English and French.
